The Minnesota Association of REALTORS® is part of a three tiered organization. The three tiers are composed of a local, state and national association. In order to become a member of the REALTOR® association, you are required to join all three levels of the organization. To apply for REALTOR® membership in an association, you must be affiliated with a broker who also holds a REALTOR® membership. An agent can only join the local association in which their broker (or office manager, for multiple offices) is a member, either primarily or secondarily. For example, if the broker holds a primary membership with the Minneapolis Association and a secondary membership with the Southern Twin Cities Association, then the agent can join either of these two local associations. If you are the broker, you can choose to be a member of any local association you would like, regardless of where your office is located.
All membership starts with the local association. For a list of local associations, please click on the "Local Boards" link above.
Local dues vary, but the state dues are $130 per year and the national dues are $84 per year. Both are prorated monthly.
