Minnesota Realtors® Announces 2021 Leadership

A new team of leaders for Minnesota Realtors® (MNR) was officially installed in early October. Taking the helm from outgoing President Bob Clark is President-Elect T.J. Simon of Wolff & Simon Real Estate in Park Rapids. Jason Miller, who served as 2020 treasurer, has been selected as president-elect and will serve as association president in 2022. Emily Green of Sandy Green Realty in Minneapolis will assume the role of treasurer. Terms for the newly elected officers begin in January 2021.

Presiding over MNR during a year marked by a global health crisis, economic distress, and social turmoil, President Clark provided steady leadership that helped the real estate industry recover its footing and ultimately prosper. Clark, who is a founding partner at Lynskey & Clark in Stillwater, will continue to play a role as immediate-past president in addition to other areas of leadership.

As co-owner and founder of a successful brokerage, T.J. Simon attributes his firm’s prosperity to long-term planning, innovation, smart use of technology, and a tireless work ethic. In the past, he was MNR treasurer, and has served on the Communications Committee and Minnesota RPAC. An avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman, he relishes time in the woods and out on the lake.

“During my leadership this year, you are all in my family,” Simon said during his installation speech. “I want all of you to have that kind of inclusion and respect. If we can respect each other, the process, and each other’s opinions, we’re going in the right direction, even if we disagree. Because when we disagree, we get together and talk about it, and come out with greater solutions.”

Stepping up from his role as treasurer to president-elect for 2021, Jason Miller brings a wide range of experience to the table. Working as a Realtor® at Premier Real Estate Services in St. Cloud, he serves clients with deep expertise in many areas of real estate and holds numerous designations. He also makes time to serve on numerous boards and committees, including the St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, he has served as chair of MNR’s Professional Standards Committee, and was named 2014 Realtor® of the Year by the St. Cloud Area of Realtors.

As a broker at a woman-owned family business serving the Twin Cities, Emily Green has the vision, experience, and financial savvy to fill the role of treasurer. During her 25 years in real estate, she has focused on residential sales, urban development and investment properties. Green has served on the National Association of Realtors®’ board of directors and was the vice chair of the MNR Communications Committee in 2019. She is a past president of the Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors® and has an MBA from Metropolitan State University’s College of Management.
