Still Standing. Still Smiling. with John Kriesel (No CE)
In 2006 John Kriesel was nearly killed by a roadside bomb in Iraq. After getting to the hospital, he technically died three times and was shocked back to life. He survived through four hospitals, 35 surgeries, and months of recovery. John lost both legs and suffered numerous other major injuries. He was told he wasn't supposed to survive and that he would be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. Yet he walked out of Walter Reed Army Medical Center after nine months. Working with author Jim Kosmo, Kriesel released his story in "STILL STANDING: The Story of SSG John Kriesel," winner of eight national book awards.

Carl Carter, Jr., son of Beverly Carter, delivers a powerful presentation on Realtor® safety that only someone with his background and experience could deliver. His story and presentation is an impactful combination of harrowing details involving his mother’s story and practical industry anecdotes and takeaways. Carl’s mission is to take his mother’s experience and use it as inspiration to make positive changes in agents’ lives and business.

Presentation and discussion around the impact on the current state of the real estate market. You will hear David speak about the most current data and trends, how it impacts current business in the real estate market and have an opportunity to ask questions.

RMLS Panel Update: How Structural Changes in Real Estate Will Impact Consumers with Victor Lund and John Mosey (pending approval for 1.5 hours of CE)
In this course, students will learn how various upcoming changes in real estate will affect their consumers and how to guide them through these changes. Issues tackled in this panel discussion will include: data consolidation and what this means for access for consumers; market updates and buying/selling issues for consumers; closing the homeownership gap; and current legal challenges Realtors® and consumers face in today’s market.

The Awards & Installation Dinner is held annually at the convention to present our signature achievement awards for the year as well as to install the 2022 Leadership Team.

This event provides a wonderful opportunity to get to know volunteer leaders within the association as well as to enjoy a wonderful evening with others from your office or perhaps someone new that you connected with while at UNITE.  The Realtor® of the Year, the Ed Anderson Political Achievement Award, and the Good Neighbor Award will all be presented at the dinner.  There will be entertainment that will be announced at a later date as well.

The dinner has a limited number of seats, so please purchase your tickets early!  Guests not registered for convention may purchase a ticket for this dinner as well.

      Lessons on Success from My Dry Cleaner with Tommy Choi
      Tommy's keynote presentation on mindset through lessons on the success that he learned from his dry cleaner. He will share lessons on adaptation, abundance, fear, and gratitude that he observed from visiting his dry cleaner. These very lessons that he has applied to his business that has led to him building a multi-million dollar real estate company while still being very active as a volunteer leader in the association world.
