The best part about being a Realtor® to me is that you're constantly helping people. Whether they are buying their dream home, cabin, or their first home. It is also humbling when dealing with the not so fortunate situations (death, divorce or the unforeseen circumstances in life) it has made me a better person while going through the selling and buying process for each individual client.
I am going into my 17th year as a Realtor®, and I feel as though I never stop learning. My role has gotten stronger with repeat business and referrals which makes my focus ever stronger.
I've have met some great people on both the buying and selling end that have now become lasting friends. I am so fortunate to work in a rural area where I was born and raised. And I will never forget the time I sold a home to a family and the youngest child was 4 at the time. I was leaving the final walk through and he came up to me on the deck. I leaned down so I could give him a hug and he kissed me on the cheek. Then said to me "thank you for giving us this house, I finally have my own bedroom”. It's the little things in life that truly matter the most.
