David is the director of Research and Economics at Minneapolis Area Realtors®. He holds a Masters in Urban Planning and Housing and Economic Development from the University of Minnesota. He has undergraduate degrees in Urban Geography and Political Science from Macalester College. Past posts include the City of Minneapolis Economic Development Agency, the Family Housing Fund, the Greater Metropolitan Housing Corporation, and the Center for Urban and Regional Affairs. David is frequently sought after by local media and publishes a variety of blogs, white papers, and reports.

Carl Carter, Jr., is a Realtor® and the founder of the Beverly Carter Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving agent safety. His mom, Realtor® Beverly Carter, lost her life at the hands of two clients in 2014. Since his mother's passing, Carl has dedicated as much time as possible to spreading the message of safety. He also has a Master's and Bachelor of Business Administration degrees from the University of AR in Little Rock, AR. Carl is a Certified Franklin Covey Facilitator, a DDI Certified Facilitator, and an Achieve Global Educator.

Shay Hata is an Ivy League grad and residential Realtor® in Chicago, IL with Berkshire Hathaway. After moving to Chicago from Minnesota, within three years she was averaging $30M a year in real estate. She now has a small team of her own, and they are on track to do more than $60M in business in 2021. In 2020 Shay’s husband, Nobu Hata, became CEO of the Denver Metro Association of Realtors® so Shay now splits time between Denver and Chicago. Shay donates a portion of each commission to local animal rescue groups and local schools.

In 2006 John Kriesel was nearly killed by a roadside bomb in Iraq. After getting to the hospital, he technically died three times and was shocked back to life. He survived through four hospitals, 35 surgeries, and months of recovery. John lost both legs and suffered numerous other major injuries. He was told he wasn’t supposed to survive and that he would be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. Yet he walked out of Walter Reed Army Medical Center after nine months. Working with author Jim Kosmo, Kriesel released his story in “STILL STANDING: The Story of SSG John Kriesel,” winner of eight national book awards.
