World_Senior_Citizens_Day-01__1_.png“Several years ago, I was honored to earn my Seniors Real Estate Specialist Council® (SRES) designation. To become one of approximately 15,000 real estate professionals in North America with this special credential, I had to successfully complete a comprehensive course for understanding the needs, considerations, and goals of real estate buyers and sellers who are 55 and older.

Having an SRES® means that I have the expertise to understand seniors’ lifestyle and financial issues. Whether they are buying, selling, relocating, or refinancing, seniors can be confident I will help them every step of the way. Supported by a team of professionals that includes attorneys, accountants, financial advisors and others, I can provide many essential services.

Being able to work with seniors at this stage of their life journey and make a positive impact is truly rewarding. Some of them are selling the first home they bought as a married couple. They raised a family there, sent their children off to lead their own lives, and decided it was time for them to “right size.” With a big change like this, they need assistance to make the right decisions. Sometimes, these are not pleasant or happy choices. As guiding professionals, we are there to help them and their loved ones get through some tough times. By sharing our knowledge, we empower them to obtain their personal and financial goals.

The thing I love most is giving back to people who have given so much to so many of us, and made a lasting mark on our world. Every time I work with a senior, I feel I’m honoring my parents who gave their life to serving and helping others.  That is why it is truly my duty as a Realtor® and community member to advocate and assist others.

I have endless stories about how working with seniors has impacted my life.  It is an honor to be one of the few SRES® designated Realtors® in our industry.”
