The MN Realtors® Political Action Committee (MN-RPAC) is a bi-partisan Political Action Committee (PAC) that supports state and local candidates who advocate for homeowners and the real estate industry. It achieves this through campaign contributions and independent expenditures at election time. Any issue that impacts your bottom line is an MN-RPAC issue.

MN-RPAC’s support of pro-real-estate candidates compliments Minnesota Realtors®' (MNR) advocacy work. When more RPAC-supported candidates are elected, MNR and its Government Affairs team have more allies as they lobby for issues important to our industry.

This past year brought many challenges, and thanks to MNR’s advocacy efforts the services provided by Realtors® were deemed essential by Governor Walz. This allowed real estate professionals across Minnesota to continue working safely on behalf of their buyers and sellers. At the federal level, Realtors® were also included in COVID-19 relief programs such as the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and were made eligible for pandemic unemployment insurance.  At the state level, MNR, along with other business groups, advocated for federal tax conformity for forgiven PPP loans and was successful.

MN-RPAC relies on financial support from individual MNR members. Their contributions protect Realtors® and their clients from policies that would harm the real estate industry. MNR can better influence policy and legislation to expand and safeguard homeownership, and strengthen this cornerstone of Minnesota’s economy when more candidates are elected with MN-RPAC support and share those priorities.

MN-RPAC’s greatest advocates are Realtors® from across the state. Below, many share their thoughts on why it is so important to invest in MN-RPAC. Learn more about RPAC and make your own contribution by visiting: mnrealtor.com/rpac.

Why Realtors® Invest in RPAC

RPAC holds up the sky for everyone working in the real estate industry. We are the largest trade organization in the nation with the only PAC that advocates for consumers, as well as industry protections. If we all do our part by investing in RPAC and responding to calls to action, each person in our industry will do better, homeownership will be more accessible, and our economy will soar.

I am a major investor because real estate is my business, property rights are an important part of that business. RPAC helps protect them, so it is in my best interest to majorly invest. It gives me a voice and a choice to better our industry.
