Minnesota Realtors® Political Action Committee Endorses Governor Walz for a Second Term

MINNEAPOLIS (Aug. 26, 2022) — Today, the Minnesota Realtors® Political Action Committee (MN-RPAC) announced its support for Governor Tim Walz in his bid for re-election.

“The MN-RPAC Board of Trustees had the honor recently of meeting with both Governor Tim Walz and Dr. Scott Jensen. While we share common ground with both candidates on many housing and homeownership issues, we believe Governor Walz is best prepared to work with us over the next four years to expand homeownership opportunities and address Minnesota’s housing challenges,” said Wayne Gilbert, chair of the MN-RPAC Board of Trustees.

“During the early weeks of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Governor Walz recognized the importance of Minnesota’s housing market to the economy by designating services for completing real estate transactions as essential, allowing Realtors® to continue assisting buyers and sellers of real property throughout Minnesota during an uncertain time and when the market was very active,” said Gilbert.

In a statement, the MN-RPAC Board of Trustees said it appreciates Governor Walz’s respectful leadership style and encourages him to prioritize finding bipartisan solutions to the complex challenges Minnesota will face over the next four years if he is re-elected in November.
