Jonathan Kopecky Named MNR Senior Vice President of Legal Affairs

Jonathan Kopecky has been named Minnesota Realtors® Sr. Vice President of Legal Affairs. Jon has been with the organization since 2013, when he was hired as Director of Professional Standards. In addition to being a subject matter expert on ethics complaints, Jon has extensive knowledge of real estate law, and the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) Code of Ethics. He received his Juris Doctorate from the Saint Louis University School of Law and holds a Certificate of Scholastic Achievement for Instruction in the Professional Standards Administration Program from the NAR Executives Institute.  

“Jon’s background and experience make him a unique and exciting fit to lead our legal affairs team into a new chapter,” said CEO Josh McFall. “His mix of knowledge and humor has made him an approachable and well-respected member of Minnesota Realtors®.”

Jon will be leading the Legal Affairs (formerly Risk Management) department at Minnesota Realtors®. Legal Affairs provides oversight and implementation of the statewide Professional Standards program, Broker Legal Hotline, Forms, Continuing Education on Legal and Ethics Standards, The Legal Defense Fund, Buyer/Seller Arbitration Process, and Risk Management.
