NAR's "More Than Opening Doors" Consumer Campaign Comes to the Twin Cities

Big news for Minnesota Realtors® and the consumers we serve: Minneapolis and its greater metro area has been selected as one of only three cities in the country to launch the National Association of REALTORS® newest consumer outdoor advertising campaign, More Than Opening Doors. And it’s live now!

What Is "More Than Opening Doors"?

This campaign is NAR's bold, visually dynamic effort to pull back the curtain on the extensive work Realtors® do for their clients — much of it happening behind the scenes, long before (and after) any door is openedFrom navigating negotiations, juggling contracts, measuring living spaces, and tracking market data while advocating for buyers and sellers at every turn, the campaign captures the depth of what a Realtor® brings to one of the most important transactions of a person's life. This campaign is under NAR’s ongoing “Right by You” strategic platform geared toward consumers.

A Partnership Worth Celebrating 

Minnesota Realtors® helped inspire NAR to explore bringing this campaign to our community. It's a reflection of both our state association leadership and the value of the Twin Cities market.

Our hope is that state and local associations can build on this consumer campaign without starting from scratch,” said Josh McFall, CEO of Minnesota Realtors®. “Being selected as one of just three cities nationwide is a true honor for Minneapolis and our state. We're excited to watch this campaign take off and to amplify it on behalf of our members.”

Minneapolis wasn't chosen by chance. NAR selected the Twin Cities metro based on a convergence of key factors: first-time homebuyer audience density and indexing, demographic and migration trends, and housing affordability. In short, our market is a priority, and this campaign reflects that. The excellence you bring as Minnesota Realtors®, serving clients and enhancing our communities, is a key reason we’re such a stable place to call home. 
 

Where Will You See It?

Starting now and running for eight weeks, More Than Opening Doors will appear across high-impact, high-visibility locations throughout Minneapolis and the Twin Cities Metro, including: 

  • The skyway mural installation at Downtown City Center 

  • Digital and static bulletins along major freeways 

  • Nicollet Malldowntown Minneapolis 

  • The Theater District, downtown Minneapolis 

  • Localized web, TV & streaming advertisements 

  • And more! 

What is Out-of-home (OOH) advertising? 
It’s the ad industry term for this type of placement which puts messaging in the physical spaces where people live, commute, and move through their day. OOH is one of the most effective ways to reach consumers at scale, and NAR is investing in it on behalf of Realtors® right here in our metro.
