Agency 101
This course has been approved by the Minnesota Commissioner of Commerce for 1 hour of Real Estate Continuing Education.
Agency, which creates a legally binding relationship between the real estate agent and their client during the buying and selling process, is one of the most important aspects of the real estate profession. Because of agency, real estate agents to act in their client’s best interest.
Licensees who attend this course will:
1. Fiduciary duties are all the duties that a real estate agent or broker is legally beholden to when working with a client.
2. Understand these duties, which are in the client’s best interest:, loyalty, disclosure, confidentiality, accounting, and reasonable care.
3. Understand issues such as changing agency roles, compensation issues, confusion amongst consumers, etc.
*Please note: This class will be offered Hybrid, with an in-person or Zoom option. If attending using the Zoom format, video attendance is required. For both the in-person or Zoom options, class materials will be available in your MNR Academy dashboard. If you register and are unable to attend, we would appreciate it if you would let us know 48 hours in advance of the class, this way we have an opportunity to allow another student to attend since class size is limited. Please see the cancellation policy for more details.
