State Political Coordinator Program

What is the State Political Coordinator Program?

The purpose of the Minnesota Realtors® (MNR) State Political Coordinator Program is to identify MNR members that have existing relationships with their state legislators and who are interested in being a source of information for their legislators about their local housing market and MNR’s advocacy efforts at the Minnesota Capitol.

If you have an existing relationship with your Minnesota state legislator(s), please fill out the survey below. Be as thorough as possible when describing the nature of your relationship(s). After reviewing your submission, MNR’s advocacy team may reach out to encourage you to participate in the program. Member participation is determined based on the information provided in the survey.

Members invited to participate will be given access to MNR’s State Political Coordinator online portal. This online portal will have various resources for participants including relevant news articles, MNR’s current legislative priorities, talking points, and allow for the sharing with the advocacy team information about interaction members have with their state legislator(s).

How do I get involved?

MNR members that have existing relationships with their Minnesota state legislator(s), take the survey below. Completion of this survey does not guarantee an invitation to participate. As MNR launches this new program, we will likely start with a smaller group of participants.

What does a State Political Coordinator do?

This program is currently in the development phase. For the 2025 Minnesota Legislative Session, MNR’s advocacy team anticipates testing some ideas for how best to help participants connect with their legislators about issues important to MNR and its advocacy agenda.

State Political Coordinators may be asked to help MNR’s advocacy efforts by:

  •        Contacting their legislator(s) about a specific issue to explain the impact of a bill or issue being considered
  •        Joining MNR’s advocacy team for a meeting with your legislator(s) to emphasize the importance of an issue under consideration or to share your expertise regarding the real estate industry and the housing market
  •      Responding to all MNR Calls for Action, messaging their legislator(s) on specific legislation during session
